My wife and I worked as sub contract drivers for a national expedited freight company. In 8 months we lost over 7000 dollars due to truck owners failure to pay final settlements. Has this happened to you? What recourse is there for recovering our income? Contact me at mkstevencoles@yahoo.com 

suepanther this is a question for a lawyer as really there is only one recource you have and that is to take them to court. If they filed bankrupcy then have the lawyer check to make sure your name or company is on the list if it isn't the lawyer can collect your money for you in court.

Yeah it would cost me quite a bit to get a lawyer in ohio drive up there take time off from work get a hotel go to court...win the case only to have the scumbags still not pay. Probably not worth it. I wonder if there is another way????
