Dirvers and Trucking Carriers CSA 2010 is Coming

FMCSA is revamping SafeStat to CSA 2010. This is a notice to ALL drivers and Trucking Companies to get the facts today and begin preparation for the coming storm.

We have already done a number of CSA 2010 Interviews with carriers in some CSA 2010 Test States and it isn't looking pretty. One company predicated 175,000 drivers would lose their jobs. Another was thrown into a full audit and most interviews indicate there is a total lack of understanding on how the new safety rating works with the inspectors.

I strongly urge all drivers to get the facts know what's coming, contact your company, get a DAC Report and if at possible go back 3 years on your DMV. See what tickets, warnings, and inspection tickets you got as your starting safety score will be based on 3 years of driving history.

Get on your CB and begin spreading the word to ALL drivers. This new mandate is going to throw the trucking industry upside down if your not prepared.

I got hit with a random test the only time I screwed up. It was sometime mid to late summer in 2002. I was fired for it. Since then I have not driven. Will this show up on my DAC?

Hello fellow truckers! I have run into a BIG problem, and I need some help. I smoked a couple of puffs of marijuana on one of my off days. About three weeks later, I got called in for a random, and of course,failed it and got fired. I have since then successfully completed the D.O.T's return-to-duty status requirements. This is a program that they have in place, so that a driver has to successfully complete before they can return to safety sensitive duties. So, I borrowed the 500.00 that it cost, and completed the program, that took about 2 months. Now I find that many carriers and their insurance companies, have a ZERO tolerance policy. They are treating this as if I were a high profile felon.I have all the proper documents/certificates as proof of my completion. I am asking you drivers if you can help me with any info that may help me to get back to work. I don't smoke anymore,of course. I am just looking for someone that will hire me. Someone that will give me a chance, and let my GOOD driving record of 19 yrs, ( accident free, no speeding tickets,strong work ethic, and approx. 2 MIL miles), be the determining factor. Not focus on the the mistake that I made. I have unemployed since March 2009. I am ready to get back out there, and continue to do what I do best. Have a blessed day, drivers. Getting a Truck Driving Job

Tell me how can I get a driving job when everyone want 2 yrs Exp. I just got my CDL's Class A and I can't get a job because I have a possession charge whice is a felony it happen in Oct.2004 but didn't go to court until April 2006. Tell me is there anyway to get a Truck Driving job. My son is grown and married and I'm divorced and have no one to come home to and want to make my dream come true being a Truck Driver. I can stay on the road for months and sleep in the Truck. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO DO THIS JOB SOON ????

I got a problem, can anyone help? I moved here to a desert place called Pahrump, NV in June 2009. I came from the Philippines and lived there for 4.5 yrs., in that time period, my CDL A license from Texas exp'd (12/31/08). I drove for a tanker company in Texas before moving to the PI., and have 3.5 yrs. experience trucking. I had to unfortunately reapply for my CDL A here in Pahrump and now have a "Permit" Ugh!... how embarrassing. Companies will not hire me because I have not driven for the 4.5 yrs. in the PI. DAC reports are your LIFE LINE to being employed Know whats on it.

In a year the NEW CSA 2010 Federal Mandate will take effect.

Drivers will now be ranked on safety based on the data they are collecting NOW. Know what is on your DAC Report and get it cleaned up.

Also your safety Rank will effect the company you drive for so it is very important to get started on it now.

We have built a site CSA2010.com that has most of the information about this new mandate. Study up and know whats coming next year.

I'm looking for talkative truckers!!!

I need 50-60 drivers willing to talk about their experiences on the road. I do the interviews over the phone at your convenience. I will be putting these interviews together for an upcoming book about the trucking life. Questions I will ask include: What is the most unusual cargo you've ever hauled? Where is your favorite place to haul (least favorite)? What's the most unusual thing you've seen while driving? What is your pet peeve while driving? These are just a few, there may be others during the actual interview.

Like it says in the heading, I have had it. For months, I have been looking for a job on trucking job websites like this one. Only to be rejected because of my job history. Yes, I have had eight trucking jobs in the last four years. Five I have been terminated from, three I have resigned from. Plus, three others that I was rejected from because either I failed the road test, or the company decided not to hire me for some reason not given. Fine by me, to hell with them. The problem being is that idiot recruiters and trucking companies count those places as employment. Claiming that I worked for 11 truck companies instead of eight. What utter morons and tools they are. Just because I only went as far as their company orientation doesn't they hired me. By the way, I three accidents and two incidents on my DAC in four years. Nothing major, no fatalities or injuries. Just some minor body damage. But some truck companies tell me if I work for one trucking company for six months or one year, they might hire me. What the hell good is that?!? I need a job now, not when it's better for them! Don't even get me started on those DAC fixer companies. They claimed they'll fix your DAC if you pay them $170.00 first. What garbage that is! If I had a $170.00, I would never give it to them. They're just parasites and vultures trying to scam people out of their money. They can't fix a damn thing. Websites like only do business with the major truck companies like U.S. Express, Western Express, Transport America, Sisbro Inc., J & R Schugel, Southern Refrigerated Transport (SRT), Barr-Nunn Transportation, West Side Transport, and others like them who already turned me down for employment. But keeping recommending those truck companies to me. What a waste of time that is. If they're not part of my solution, then they're part of my problem. *** keep trying them. As to why I got terminated from a couple of trucking companies? With Western Express, I would not put up with their BS. They're great at keeping you on the road for weeks, but come time for you to go home. They use every and any excuse they can think of to you out of the road. Then, short change your paycheck the first chance they get. Worse, is they want you to travel over your ten hours to make a delivery on time. If you get caught by DOT, then it's your fault not theirs. After working for them a month, I requested some home time. But kept stalling me load after load, until I finally gave them a piece of my mind. After which they fired me. Good riddance to them. That's why I have had it. I'm not wasting my time here or with trucking.
