Dart Trucking Industry

Basically, I'm looking into possibly applying w/Dart Trucking. Have had some bad experiences w/the company I'm currently driving for & have heard some very good things about Dart, but also heard good things about the company I'm currently with. Would like some feedback from anyone who has experience w/Dart, ie.... home time, whether they care about their drivers, etc... The other technical info is already online. Thanks.

the speeding tickets are 1 in a CMV the other in a POV

I graduated driving school on 7/18 with a class a CDL and today is 8/26 and i still dont have a job. Ive been denied by cr england, covenant transport, schnieder, crst van, con way, and a few others that i cant remember right now. Today i was just told by crst van that because i have too many misdermeanors that i probably wouldnt get hired, which turned out to be true by the email i just recieved confirming it. I have a tresspassing in 07/ a larceny in 05/ failure to appear in 98/ and drinking while driving in 98. on my mvr i have a dui in 2001. my regular license expired in 05 and i just renewed it on 4/08. a couple companies told me that my license hasnt been valid for atleast a year so they couldnt hire me since i just renewed after three years. not only did i renew it but i reinstated it from suspension for not paying a ticket for driving with no insurance in 2001. none of this sounded like it was so bad while i was attending drivng school since my school recruiter didnt make my record out to be so bad and said that i would still get a job. well its been a month and a half and im still not employed by a trucking company. i still have pending online applications and dont wanna give up. am i just beating a dead horse or maybe im just looking in the wrong places? i was also told by a friend that i was mislead by the school because all they cared about was making a buck, and there was the possibility of a lawsuit to get back my tuition money. personally i really wanna drive a truck but if all else fails this seems the best route to go. what do you guys think? if anyone has any feed back, any leads to potential employers or something i would definately appreciated. all i want is a friggin truck driving job. thanks guys, sal08.

priority trucking is one of the worst companies that i have ever heard of . they don't care if you have a doctors appointment and they can't even get thier priorities right when it does come to their drivers. i will be glad when my boyfriend tells them to take the truck and shove it where the sun sun don't shine. anybody who wants to go to this company, BE ADVISE! DON'T HIRE WITH PRIORITY TRUCKING, THEY WILL SCREW YOU.

Hey all! I am a 30 year old man from Michigan. It has been my dream since I was a kid to drive a truck. However I got myself into a little trouble quite a few years ago. 1995 to be exact. I know I messed up but I would love to get my foot into the door with a company that would be willing to hire a guy who made a mistake. I know how most people feel about felons but I have a family that I am trying to care for and they are my first priority. Community college is too expensive and working for minimum wage just doesn't cut it. I would love to find a company so my wife could be at home with the kids while I make the money for us to live at least a somewhat comfortable life. Can anyone help? Please?

Good morning; I retired in 06 after 26 years in a factory and now I am going back to truck driving. I live in Washington state. I have done a ton of research on companies to work for and would like your input on companies that I will run into in the northwest. I have talked to 3 Swift drivers with a range of 3 to 13 years of driving for Swift and they like it. Unfortunatly Interstate has suspended their driver training program for new school graduates. Werner has a terminal in Portland, I think. Any ideas? I will get out of school at the end of april. I went to the trucking companies and asked what school they like to hire from and am going to Commercial Driver Services in Tacoma, WA. They train on van, flatbed, doubles and triples. I will have every endorsement possible except passenger. My only requirement from a company is that they have a rider program, so my wife can come along when she wants. Hope none of you drivers got stuck in all the flooding in the midwest... Have a good day.

Hello everyone :-). I would like to inquire about Watkins-Shepard out of Missoula, Montana. I already have my CDL A with HazMat, Double/Triples, and Tanker Endorsements from the state of Missouri.

I graduated from a trucking school program at Westwind CDL Training Center [Reference Link: www.westwindcdl.com] in Cuba, Missouri back in July of 2007, need a confidence-building refresher course, and know that this company offers their own school.

I was just curious about it and wanted to know if anyone has gone to this company's school in Montana, had been through the program, what it is like, how nice are the people there, how helpful is everyone, and such.

I'm currently working as a Night Auditor in a local hotel at $7 an hour and am eager to succeed in trucking, but I need to be with the right people and company to do it properly. I guess the owner of this company is also President of the American Trucking Association? Is that correct? Quite a lot to live up to if I do get on with them, eh?

Does anyone know anything about Mamo Transportation? I have an app. in with them. They move trucks, busses, rv's, etc. around the country. They pay their drivers as independant contractors. I am wondering if one can really make money with them, or if most of the profit gets eaten up by expenses.

Please I got y CDL A license from a local trucking driving school in New Jersey. It has been very hard for me to find a job. First of all because I'm a lady and second because the mayority of company ask for at list two years of experience. I decided to go out of my way and ai applied with MTC. I got hired as a trainee{new driver}. I also was hired by SRT in Texarkana. I have to report for orientation and training. I"m undecided for which one. At MTC I was hired to be traineed by Star transport. I plant to travel OTR with my pets. Please can someone outherer give me an opinion or orientation based on their experience.
