WELL, HERE IT IS: I HAVE BEEN A FEW THINGS IN MY LIFE, A MOM, SOCIAL WORKER, WIFE, EX-WIFE, WIFE AGAIN, ESTRANGED WIFE, AND MOST RECENTLY A CLASS A CDL HOLDER AND TRAINEE FOR 1 WEEK AT ONE OF THE LARGEST COMPANIES. IT STARTED OUT A LITTLE ROCKY AT FIRST, AFTER BEING SENT HOME FROM ORIENTATION CUZ THERE WERE NO TRAINERS AVAILABLE, AND THEN BEING PUT OFF THE TRUCK AFTER ONE DAY CUZ THE TRAINER'S WIFE WOULD DIVORCE HIM IF HE KEPT ON TRAINING A FEMALE. NOW I AM ON THE TRUCK WITH TRAINER #2 FOR ABOUT 5 DAYS AND HE IS REALLY COOL AND I AM LEARNING A LOT. I DROVE THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS IN ARIZONA LAST NIGHT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS--SO I AM PRETTY PROUD OF MYSELF. THIS IS A BRAND NEW AND EXCITING EXPERIENCE FOR ME AND I CAN'T WAIT TO UPGRADE TO MY OWN TRUCK SO I CAN GO OUT AND SEE AS MUCH OF THE U.S. AS POSSIBLE--MAYBE EVEN SOME OF CANADA. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'm still just sitting around healing. The nurse who comes 3 times a week says it is really starting to heal. Guess the wound vac is doing it's thing. Have been making meals, dishes, and sweaping the floor, well it is with a swifter sweeper. Still can't bend over, even from me chair, to pick anything off the floor but Ken does it when he gats home at night.

Everyone be careful out there and stay out of trouble like me.

I got home this morning and as happy to be home. Now if I can keep myself from doing things like dishes and cookiung I will be alright.

Surgery went well as far as they can tell. Took alot of infected area from my stomach, and came home hooked up to a machine called a wound vac. It uis supposed to keep the draining out and premote healing from the inside. Don't know how long I have to ware this thing but there is a months supply of materal sent with it.

Every one have a good weekend and stay safe out there.

Just want everyone know I am having surgery again April 1st. Because of that new "super bug" infection MRSA, they have to go back in and try to clean out the infection which is now abcessed. Will leave a post here when I get back home.

International Schools Truck Driver Training-

Anyone who is considering getting a cdl, i would not go to International Schools in Austin, TX. They do not teach the classroom tests for DPS, they just give you the answer key so you will pass at DPS. You also do not get very much driving time, because they always have an instructor off that day, or they decide to shut down early for the day. The senior instructor does not care if you get to drive or not, he is not around very much either, nor does he seem to know anything about the proper way to drive (i find it hard to believe he has a cdl). There is a reason it costs a lot less than other schools, its because of the POOR training you get.

Warning about forieghn Jobs

Just a friendly warning about a company who iis currently looking for people to go overseas and work for them in various jobs one of which is trucking. My Loveing fiance recently sighned a contract with a company called All Purpose Textiles and went to Ibadan Nigeria and was supposed to be back in the states on the 9th of november. They completed paying her for her contract by sending her a USPS money order that she can not get cashed in Nigeria because it is a us domestic money order they did not even bother sending her the international one so that she could take care of her Hotel Bill before leaving. Now she is stuck there in Africa over the thanksgiving holidays with a money order that is no good in that country and I Cant come up with enough cash to get her a ticket home until next week which means we will not be able to spend Thanksgiving together.

This Company All Purpose Textiles is currently looking for people in several fields of work one of which is truck drivers to go to different countries and work under contract for them. DO NOT FALL for thier story. We have even contacted the company to ask them what she is supposed to do to get home and i was told by a company rep that her contract was finished they had paid her and there was nothing they were gonna do to help her out on getting home. I asked why they didnt pay her with a money order that she could get cashed in that country and was told that it states in the contract they will pay in postal money orders. Well the contract states they will pay in a form of payment that can be cashed in the country you are working in but they dont. When i do get my Fiance home all hell is going to break loose with the lawyers and a major lawsuit. I just dont want to see anyone else get stuck in this situation over seas with no way home when it is time for them to come home.

Missing an old friend

Have done a lot of thinking this last week or so about Merdoc taking that final highway home. There were times when he would call and I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. So he would say ok, just call me when you are ready. Was alway threatening me with a trip up here, but not in the winter, we had too much cold and snow for him. I was never had the honor of meeting Merdoc.

I will always hold the memories of his late night calls helping me try to get used to this chair. he would tell me I was the same nut as always, just not able to walk anymore. And he was there for me when a few years ago I went thru that crap with loner.

I will miss that rough voice, nagging cough and his laugh.
